Barbara Lacina
Barbara Lacina began her career as a child support professional in 1992, as a frontline caseworker. Her experiences during the 5 ½ years she held this position cultivated a deep commitment to children and their parents. Barbara has since moved into various management roles within the child support organization, always with a focus on building relationships with parents, and improving outcomes for children. In her current role as the Regional Administrator for the Des Moines Region of the Iowa Child Support Recovery program, Barbara has worked to implement and expand Responsible Fatherhood programs, to build community partnerships that support these programs, to deliver child support services in non-traditional ways, and to effect a family-focused culture change among child support staff. Barbara is a 1990 graduate of the University of Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
